Parents, students went home with a field trip form. In February we are wanting to go to the High Museum of Art. Please sign the forms and send students to school with the necessary funds ASAP. The trip cost 12 dollars per student.

Math- 921-922 from Mymath book. (USE NOTEBOOK) Grammar: sheet 9 day 1 on capitalization Science: study/ finish study guide. Test tomorrow Spelling: Test will be on Monday 1/18: Wednesday Math: Mymath pages 907- 908 and 919-920 Spelling: study sort 20 Grammar: capitalization Reading: close read page 4 of MLK speech. review pages 1 to 3. be prepared to talk. 1/17: Tuesday Math: Write on a sheet of paper what you know about each quadrilateral (square, rhombus, parallelogram, kite, trapezoid, rectangle). Reading: Read page 3 of Dr. MLK's speech and talk with your parent about its meaning. Write what you though about each paragraph on a separate sheet of paper. Writing: Write a lead for an opinion paper. Hook (fact or question), telll what the argument is about and why people are arguing, your position/opinion (what side your on), and last, the reasons (3) of why we should agree with your opinion. Science: Review sci notebook on static electricity, and circuits. *** Science test will be on Friday on lessons 1,2, and 3 on electricity and magnetism *** Big reading test on MLK speech. Write the meaning of different figures of speech in the text, why he discusses Abraham Lincoln, how people feel and why, etc... 1/13/17:
MATH: 925 and 926 from My math. Use NB to help. SPELLING: sort 19 words. test on Tuesday READING: read page 2 of MLK speech. do a close read and wrote a summary for each paragraph. (what is each paragraph about) SCIENCE- read pgs 206-209. explain what a conductor and what is an insulator 1/12/17 Math: 905 and 906 on polygons, and 917 and 918 on triangles Science: compare and contrast parallel and series circuits. (look at text book) Reading: summarize page one of, " I Have A Dream" by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Spelling: Study sort 19 words -able and - ible words. (TEST ON MONDAY) |
